As the e-mail says, Milt Schwartz is one of the founding fathers of McDonough, Holland & Allen. The stroke occurred on Wednesday, 9/28/05.

As some of you are aware, Judge Milton Schwartz, one of the founding partners of the firm, suffered a massive stroke yesterday and is at Sutter General Hospital. Milt was unconscious for some time, but regained consciousness sometime during the night or early morning today. The most current information we get from the family is he has use of the right side of his body, is somewhat alert and has even cracked some jokes. They are told that there is a three day period in which he will either show signs of improvement or pass away. He is accepting visitors at Sutter General Hospital on the Fourth Floor. We will keep you informed of developments. Our prayers are with Milt, Barbara and the entire family during this critical period.
