Stephen's scan from last Thursday shows that the cancer has spread. So all three of his doctors are trying to figure out what's going on now, and what to do next. He may not even do the stem cell thing anymore, since it appears he's chemo resistant. Apparently the last type of chemo he just had in the hospital called ICE, should have taken care of the majority of the disease. The fact that the cancer spread while being on it is very rare. So we are kinda in limbo again. I won't be at work tomorrow cuz I'm going with him to see UCD. Hopefully we will find out more then. The only thing we've been told with some certainty is that they want to biopsy again. They think since its spread they can get to the diseased area easier (it spread out toward the side). So they want to do a needle biopsy. If they can't reach it that way, it will be major surgery where they'll have to cut his whole chest open. So we're hoping and praying they don't have to do that that's very invasive and somewhat risky since its close to his heart.Quadro said that the Hodgkin's disease may have morphed into another type of cancer so that's a possibility too. He's already reached toxicity levels on two forms of chemo now, so he can't be given those types anymore Please pray for Stephen's complete and total healing and victory over this evil disease.
